Gopalkala
Gopalkala is an absolutely delicious and traditional neivedanam (offering) made for Lord Krishna. It is made with flattened rice, cucumber, curd and coconut. It is basically curd rice with a slight variation where flattened rice (aval / poha )is used instead of rice. Learn how to make gopalkala recipe below.
Ingredients
Flattened Rice (aval/poha)-1 cup
Curd -1 cup slightly whisked
Cucumber -1/4 cup chopped
Grated coconut -2 tbsps
Grated coconut -2 tbsps
Ginger -1 tsp
Green chillies- 1 no finely chopped
Cumin seeds-1 tsp
Bengal gram dhal -1 tsp
Ghee -1 tsp
Salt to taste
Sugar to taste

Method
👉Wash the poha gently and soak for 5 mins.Drain the water completely and set the poha aside in a mixing bowl.
👉To this add curd, cucumber, grated coconut, salt, sugar, green chillies and ginger mix well.
👉Heat ghee in a tadka pan add bengal gram dal, cumin seeds and allow it to splutter, add this tempering to the poha mixture combine well.Garnish and serve.
